The Opportunity

Community Support Incorporated is seeking to appoint voluntary Board Directors with experience in finance, legal governance and/or clinical governance. These appointments will strengthen the Board’s collective capability as the organisation continues to deliver high‑quality, community‑focused services in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.

These opportunities will suit experienced professionals who are motivated to contribute at a strategic governance level and make a meaningful impact within a purpose‑driven not‑for‑profit organisation.

About Community Support Incorporated

Community Support Incorporated is a community‑based, not‑for‑profit organisation committed to supporting individuals and communities through high‑quality, person‑centred services for over 35 years. Role Overview

As a Board Director, you will contribute to the overall strategic direction, financial sustainability and governance of Community Support Incorporated. Working collaboratively with fellow directors and the executive team, you will help ensure the organisation continues to meet its legal, financial and regulatory obligations while maintaining a strong focus on service quality and community outcomes.

Directors are expected to act in the best interests of the organisation and uphold high standards of governance, integrity and ethical decision‑making.

Skills and Experience Sought

The Board is particularly interested in candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

Financial Expertise

• Senior financial, accounting or audit experience
• Ability to interpret financial reports and contribute to financial oversight and sustainability

Legal Experience

• Legal qualifications or professional experience
• Strong understanding of governance, risk, compliance and regulatory frameworks

Clinical Governance Experience

• Experience in clinical governance, quality and safety, or service oversight within health, aged care, disability or community services
• Understanding of regulatory standards and continuous improvement frameworks

Previous board experience is welcome but not essential. Applicants should demonstrate sound judgement, strategic thinking and a genuine commitment to community wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in monthly Board meetings and strategic planning sessions
• Contribute to governance oversight, risk management and organisational performance
• Provide specialist insight in finance, legal matters and/or clinical governance as relevant
• Support the development of a strong governance culture and effective board decision‑making

Time Commitment

This is a voluntary role involving approximately 11 Board meetings per year. Board Members will also participate in a sub-committee of the Board. Flexible participation arrangements are available, including hybrid and online attendance options.

About You & The Role

The Client Services Coordinator is responsible for working with clients to achieve their goals and ensuring they receive the services and care they need to help them live their lives their way.  The coordinator is also responsible for the supervision, safety, coordination of training requirements, and performance management of support workers to meet and exceed the expectations of the clients we serve.  

Key Responsibilities

• Work with clients to identify their goals, support goal achievement and ensure they receive great care and support, every time.
• Coaching and mentoring Support Workers, ensuring clients and business needs are met
• WHS compliance of Support Worker practice and work environment (client homes) is monitored for completion, action and reporting as required
• Contribute to the recruitment of Support Workers to match client needs
• Timely and effective management of incidents and feedback
• Support the development of recruitment strategies to align with client requirements.

We’re Looking for Client Service Coordinators Who:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Minimum Certificate IV or above in Health / Community Services (or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of NDIS and/or My Aged Care Home Care Packages
• Person-centred (problem-solving), decision making and leadership
• High-level critical thinking
• Highly effective time management
• NDIS Workers Clearance Check
• Working with Children Check

About You and The Role

We currently have a permanent part-time opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer to join our growing team at our Wayville head office.

This role is primarily one day per week; however, flexibility is required, as during Board meeting weeks (approximately once per month) additional days will be required, with the successful candidate expected to work up to three days during that week. 

The Executive Assistant will provide administrative and secretarial support to the Chief Executive Officer. This role liaises with the Board, Executive Management Leadership Team, Service Managers, Staff, Clients and external organisations including government and community agencies.

Other key duties include:

• Greeting clients upon arrival in a friendly and professional manner and responding to queries online and over the phone.
• Assisting the broader Executive Management team and the Board when required 
• Preparing correspondence, reports, speeches, presentations, submission, articles, etc. as required 
• Organising meetings, preparing agendas, minute taking and monitoring on progress 
• General administrative duties as directed.

Key Experience Required For The Role:

• Strong customer service focus with excellent interpersonal skills 
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, Access (or other data base software) 
• Ability to utilise community data base applications

About You and The Role

We’re seeking a dedicated Scheduling Officer to join our team in a permanent position. In this pivotal role, you’ll deliver exceptional customer service by effectively allocating staff to meet our clients' diverse needs.

You’ll communicate directly with Support Workers, clients, and families to keep them informed of roster updates and staffing changes. By building strong relationships with both staff and clients, you’ll help ensure the right people are matched to provide the best possible care.

This role includes one weekend shift every fortnight, with applicable penalty rates.

Key Experience Required For The Role:

• A genuine passion for supporting people living with disability or vulnerability

• Ability to prioritise and manage competing tasks in a busy environment

• Understanding of the SCHADS Award

• Experience in the health or not-for-profit sector (desirable)

• Previous rostering experience (desirable)

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

• Current National Police Check, Working With Children Check, and NDIS Clearance

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Part-Time Governance Business Partner to join our Governance team.

Reporting to the Clinical Governance Manager, this role is responsible for supporting and strengthening CSI's governance, compliance and quality management systems.

The Governance Business Partner plays a key role in ensuring the organisation meets its legislative, regulatory and contractual obligations while promoting a culture of accountability, transparency and continuous improvement.

You will work closely with leaders across the organisation to maintain governance frameworks, policies, risk and compliance registers, quality systems and audit readiness.

The role also contributes to accreditation activities, supports governance reporting, assists with incident and risk management, and helps ensure compliance with the NDIS Practice Standards, Support at Home Program requirements and other relevant legislation.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, has exceptional attention to detail, and is passionate about improving governance systems that ultimately enhance outcomes for the people we support.

About You

You are a highly organised professional with strong governance, compliance or quality experience and enjoy working in a role where accuracy, collaboration and continuous improvement are highly valued.

Key Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge

• Certificate IV or Diploma in Administration, Enrolled Nursing, Quality, Risk Management or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Current National Police Check, Working With Children Check, NDIS Clearance and Driver’s Licence.
• Demonstrated experience in governance, quality, compliance and administration, preferably within the disability, aged care or community services sector.
• Experience supporting audits, accreditation activities and quality management systems (desirable).
• Strong knowledge of governance, risk management, compliance, quality improvement and accreditation principles.
• Sound understanding of the NDIS Practice Standards and/or Support at Home or Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and industry best practice.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to maintain governance registers, analyse data and prepare reports.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Commitment to person-centred practice and a culture of continuous improvement.
• Understanding of common medical conditions and clinical terminology relevant to community services.
• Understanding of behaviour support, reportable incidents and restrictive practice requirements (desirable).
