The Opportunity

Community Support Incorporated is seeking to appoint voluntary Board Directors with experience in finance, legal governance and/or clinical governance. These appointments will strengthen the Board’s collective capability as the organisation continues to deliver high‑quality, community‑focused services in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.

These opportunities will suit experienced professionals who are motivated to contribute at a strategic governance level and make a meaningful impact within a purpose‑driven not‑for‑profit organisation.

Role Overview

As a Board Director, you will contribute to the overall strategic direction, financial sustainability and governance of Community Support Incorporated. Working collaboratively with fellow directors and the executive team, you will help ensure the organisation continues to meet its legal, financial and regulatory obligations while maintaining a strong focus on service quality and community outcomes.

Directors are expected to act in the best interests of the organisation and uphold high standards of governance, integrity and ethical decision‑making.

Skills and Experience Sought

The Board is particularly interested in candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

Financial Expertise

• Senior financial, accounting or audit experience
• Ability to interpret financial reports and contribute to financial oversight and sustainability

Legal Experience

• Legal qualifications or professional experience
• Strong understanding of governance, risk, compliance and regulatory frameworks

Clinical Governance Experience

• Experience in clinical governance, quality and safety, or service oversight within health, aged care, disability or community services
• Understanding of regulatory standards and continuous improvement frameworks

Previous board experience is welcome but not essential. Applicants should demonstrate sound judgement, strategic thinking and a genuine commitment to community wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in monthly Board meetings and strategic planning sessions
• Contribute to governance oversight, risk management and organisational performance
• Provide specialist insight in finance, legal matters and/or clinical governance as relevant
• Support the development of a strong governance culture and effective board decision‑making

Time Commitment

This is a voluntary role involving approximately 11 Board meetings per year. Board Members will also participate in a sub-committee of the Board. Flexible participation arrangements are available, including hybrid and online attendance options.

About You and The Role

We currently have a permanent part-time opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer to join our growing team at our Wayville head office.

This role is primarily one day per week; however, flexibility is required, as during Board meeting weeks (approximately once per month) additional days will be required, with the successful candidate expected to work up to three days during that week. 

The Executive Assistant will provide administrative and secretarial support to the Chief Executive Officer. This role liaises with the Board, Executive Management Leadership Team, Service Managers, Staff, Clients and external organisations including government and community agencies.

Other key duties include:

• Greeting clients upon arrival in a friendly and professional manner and responding to queries online and over the phone.
• Assisting the broader Executive Management team and the Board when required

• Organising meetings, preparing agendas, minute taking and monitoring on progress 
• General administrative duties as directed.

Key Experience Required For The Role:

• Strong customer service focus with excellent interpersonal skills 
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, Access (or other data base software) 
• Ability to utilise community data base applications

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Part-Time Governance Business Partner to join our Governance team.

Reporting to the Clinical Governance Manager, this role is responsible for supporting and strengthening CSI's governance, compliance and quality management systems.

The Governance Business Partner plays a key role in ensuring the organisation meets its legislative, regulatory and contractual obligations while promoting a culture of accountability, transparency and continuous improvement.

You will work closely with leaders across the organisation to maintain governance frameworks, policies, risk and compliance registers, quality systems and audit readiness.

The role also contributes to accreditation activities, supports governance reporting, assists with incident and risk management, and helps ensure compliance with the NDIS Practice Standards, Support at Home Program requirements and other relevant legislation.

About You

You are a highly organised professional with strong governance, compliance or quality experience and enjoy working in a role where accuracy, collaboration and continuous improvement are highly valued.

Key Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge

• Certificate IV or Diploma in Administration, Enrolled Nursing, Quality, Risk Management or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Current National Police Check, Working With Children Check, NDIS Clearance and Driver’s Licence.
• Demonstrated experience in governance, quality, compliance and administration, preferably within the disability, aged care or community services sector.
• Experience supporting audits, accreditation activities and quality management systems (desirable).
• Strong knowledge of governance, risk management, compliance, quality improvement and accreditation principles.
• Sound understanding of the NDIS Practice Standards and/or Support at Home or Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and industry best practice.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to maintain governance registers, analyse data and prepare reports.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

As we continue to grow, we are excited to offer this newly created Junior Finance Officer position within our Finance team.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Finance Officer to join our Finance team on a permanent part-time (0.6 FTE) basis.

This newly created role is ideal for someone looking to build or further develop a career in finance and administration. Working closely with our experienced Finance team, you will provide support across a range of finance functions while gaining valuable experience in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Based at our Wayville Head Office, this role offers flexibility, with working days able to be negotiated to suit the successful applicant and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing
• Process supplier invoices and prepare payments for approval
• Support client billing and receipting, and follow up outstanding accounts as required.
• Prepare, maintain, and update client Service Agreements and NDIS service quotes in accordance with organisational policies and NDIS pricing arrangements.
• Process amendments to client Service Agreements and funding changes as directed.
• Perform bank reconciliations and assist with account reconciliations
• Maintain accurate financial records and client documentation, and electronic filing system.
• Assist with month-end finance processes, including reconciliations and reporting preparation.
• Respond to finance-related enquiries from internal and external stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.
• Support data entry, record management and general finance administration
• Work collaboratively with the wider Finance and operational teams
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Finance department
• Undertake other finance and administrative duties as reasonably directed.
   

About You

You will be organised, eager to learn and have a strong eye for detail. You enjoy working as part of a team and take pride in producing accurate work.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Certificate III, IV or Diploma in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance or currently studying a relevant qualification (or equivalent experience)
• Previous administration or finance experience (Accounts Payable/Receivable experience highly regarded)
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
• Current National Police Clearance, NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with
• Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
   

Highly Desirable

• Experience using Xero, ApprovalMax or similar accounting software
• Experience working within the community services, disability or aged care sector
• Understanding of NDIS or aged care funding environments
